OCD
The main character of the film is a girl who is suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, or OCD. OCD is a type of anxiety disorder where certain conditions trigger intense anxiety, and compulsive behaviors are used to feel relief. When our main character sees the empty space between the books, she feels anxious, and fearful, then begins seeing a horrible illusion. She fills the gap with a book to feel relief again. Unfortunately, since she is a librarian, the anxiety-inducing crevice is something she must face every day as she returns books to the their spaces on the shelves. At work one day, her fear manifests as a horrible illusion because she did not fill the crevice in time. It brings her into a nightmarish world full of the crevices she fears. Protruding from these crevices are huge vines that grab and cover the girl’s body as she struggles to escape. As she was about to be completely overwhelmed, she was awakened in the library. It turned out that everything was her private demons.
