2010年より撮り続けているシリーズ作品。私の住む東京は、経済の発展と共にその景観も急速な変化を遂げ、次々と新しい建築物が作られる一方で、古いものや自然のものも残されており、それらが混在している ギャップが面白い。しかし利便性を求めたが故に、公害や化学物質など目に見えないものに脅かされている。そんな日本の都市をデジタル赤外線写真の手法を用いて表現した。
デジタル赤外線写真は可視領域の波長の光の大部分を遮断して撮影し、デジタル処理でカラー情報を復元・追加していく手法。フィルターを通す事によって『情報に惑わされず、確かなモノを見る事が大切』というメッセージを込めた。また、デジタルカメラの性能も飛躍的に進歩し、知識のない人でもそこそこの写真が撮れる。プリンタが決めた味やプロファイルで、プリンター純正の用紙で出力する。デジタルの標準的なワークフローはもはや「ハードウェアが作った作品」なのである。そしてそれらが写真の『作品』としての価値基準を下げてしまっているような気がしてならない。しかし、古い手法の作品制作はフィルムや印画紙の撤退と共に年々厳しく難しくなっており、デジタル機器を使わざるを得ない。その中でも私たちは、写真本来の持つ『作品』としての価値を失わないような方法を、日々模索していかなければならないのではと思う。
I've been shooting this series since 2010.
I live in Tokyo where is an interesting city because it looks like an urban city but there're a lot of nature and many traditional buildings.However we have some important problems with environmental pollution.So I tryed to express this city with digital infrared photographys.
The digital infrared photography means IR photography, just done with a digital camera.
And using a combination of the right filter and specialty film/modified sensor you can shoot infrared images.
I want to tell you that "look at things without a deal".
I think we must try to put a great deal of effort into our artworks eachother
because many other people who don't have knowledge of cameras can take pictures
and they also can print out them themselves.
