池田武央

Product Designer

In 2006, I completed my masters in industrial and strategy design at the University of Art and Design,
Helsinki.
Since joining Seymourpowell, I have been working on a diverse range of projects including the concept
design for a domestic consumer robot, product DNA for global brands, white goods design based on
ethnographic research.
I have a strong focus on emotional engineering and the holistic user experience that involves three
dimensional forms, colours, materials and finishes (CMF), user interface, and services around the product and brand identity.
I have worked with many global across market sectors including consumer electronics (TV, Mobile),
white household goods (fridge, laundry machine) and everyday commodities (toothbrush, FMCG
packaging). When dealing with Japanese clients, my role involves project management to ensure client expectation is perfectly communicated and met by mediating the language, cultural and corporate barrier between the clients and the team.
