GGJ Tabasco Sostenible 2020: 8th eco Festival of the Oyster 2021

The GGJ is an initiative co-created by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the School for the Digital Society (DSS) at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

GGJ Sustainable Tabasco 2020, is a 2-day design workshop on sustainable solutions, based on the 2030 Agenda and the scope of the SDG challenge. It calls for a meeting of key actors from the sectors: Private Public, Social and Academia in favor of Climate Action, which the municipality of Paraíso, Tabasco, Mexico, needs to face coastal erosion and the rise in sea level, which threatens, and places coastal populations in conditions of vulnerability and risk.

Tabasco in the most vulnerable state in Mexico, to the adverse effects of the climate crisis.
Based on the process of empathy in action, we address the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, highlighting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which are a priority, we design local actions with a triple effect: Social, Environmental and Economic, generating global impact directly on the SDG targets: 13.3; 4.7; 8.9; 12.b; 14.7 (among others).

We immerse our participants in deep reflections, discovering the degree of vulnerability that the Tabasco territory presents, especially in the municipality of Paraíso. What can we do to activate the early warning of climate change in Paraíso, Tabasco, Mexico?
