Dream-In-Dream-Out
Wearable technology + Virtual reality + Wireless network + SD real-time computing = Dream machine.
Rather than treating virtual reality as dialectics on a state of consciousness where reality and the body disappear, Dream-In-Dream-Out sees it as the unfolding of "new reality, new space, new body". The project attempts to create an "all-writing" and "all-information" interactive and performative space by combining elements such as bodily perception, rhythm, movements and positions using smart glasses as a wearable wireless sensor system. Participants wander, traverse and interact in the boundlessness of virtual space and discern a fantastical multidimensional volume that slowly shifts, expands and fractures. Wearing a lightweight wireless sensor device, their bodily perception, rhythm, movements and positions are led into a world of virtual reality where they may frivolous traverse and interact.
