Brief concept description of the submitted project/idea
1l of used oil can contaminate up to 1,000,000 l of water (DEFRA) Only in Spain 150 thousand tons of oil waste are generated and more than 60% falls directly into the sewer, causing the death of thousands of species, and increasing 7 times the cost of water treatment. For this, and based on the old method of making soap with caustic soda, we spent 3 years of research to create a liquid without manipulation risks that would achieve the saponification reaction (transform a fatty acid into soap) in just one minute, with pleasant aroma and useful in multiple cleaning uses. (Floor scrubbers, dishwasher and laundry detergent) Thus, any person or establishment can carry out circular economics from the source, recycle used oil, reuse it, transforming it into ecological detergent, and reduce the impact of oil, common detergents and traditional packaging. In 3 simple steps, measure, mix, shake and go.

Detailed description of the submitted project/idea
The idea was born from the difficulty of recycling used oil residue from home. Being a waste that is very dirty, and not having recycling points nearby, it becomes a nuisance for many households causing that many times the easiest way to dispose of it is to throw it down the sink, an option that causes a lot of damage to the environment and economic for society. 90% of pipeline clogs are caused by this spill, and 40% by pollution of rivers and seas and caused by oils. Focusing on this and knowing the process of making soap in the old days or in a homemade way, we wanted to sophisticate the method to make it easier, safer and faster, so that everyone without knowledge of chemistry or risks could do it from their own home or establishment.
After 3 years of research, we achieved what today we call SOUJI (which means cleaning in Japanese) a liquid that is neither toxic nor corrosive agents, which when mixed with the used oil in the correct proportions and shaking it for a minute becomes a multipurpose detergent, and with pleasant aroma. Dishwasher, mop, laundry detergent. We currently distribute it in more than 90 points of sale throughout Spain, European sales platforms and our own website. We have been lucky enough to be recognized in several ecology and innovation competitions, and we continue working to adapt to the catering and industrial sector. In addition to the formulation, we already have the first functional prototype of a machine that facilitates watering in the establishment of large volumes of waste, and we continue to work on continuous improvement. -

SOUJI (Reuse used oil, create your own ecological detergent, in just 1 minute)
Souji is a mineral and vegetable-based liquid that when mixed, in the correct proportions with used cooking oil, and exhausted for 1 minute, immediately transforms into a multipurpose detergent with a pleasant aroma and without any manipulation risk, does not contain caustic soda, or any toxic or corrosive agent. The resulting detergent is 96% less polluting than a common one, and is useful as a dishwasher, laundry detergent, and floor scrubber. In addition to being ecological, cruelty free and presented in packaging formats that are sustainable with the planet.
