2. Description／形容
一般社団法人 ラベル循環協会「J-ECOL」（ジェーコル）はラベル業界全般での循環型社会の協創を目標とし、モデルの構築と普及を促進する組織です。

　The Japan Label Recycling Association (J-ECOL) is a general incorporated association that aims
to collaborate with the entire label industry to create a circular society, and is an organization that
promotes the creation and dissemination of this model.


3. Story／ストーリー
今やシール・ラベル（以下ラベル）は私たちの生活に当たり前に存在するモノですが、この活躍の裏で一つ課題を抱えています。それは「剥離紙」と呼ばれるラベルの粘着面を保護するための“台紙”がラベル使用後に不要物として扱われていることです。ラベル台紙は良質なパルプで作られており、近年ではリサイクル技術が発展し、適正に回収できれば「再生パルプ」として利用することが可能になってきました。しかし、各企業の努力により、ラベル台紙の環境負荷削減に向けたリサイクルや削減の取り組みが行われているものの、社会全体の仕組みが整っておらず、リサイクル率や削減率は高くはありません。
この課題解決には、ラベルを使用する企業、製造する企業、そしてラベル台紙を再利用する企業、その他関連する企業が限られた資源を有効活用するという同じ意志が必要です。そこで、一般社団法人 ラベル循環協会「J-ECOL」（以下J-ECOL）はラベルにおける循環型社会の実現を目的に設立致しました。

活動目標
ラベル台紙の再利用には、ラベル使用企業、製造企業、再利用企業などが協力し、資源を有効活用
することが重要です。環境製品やサービスを提供する団体ではなく、企業の枠を超えてサプライチ
ェーン全体でラベルにおける循環型社会の協創を目指し、皆様と一緒に循環型社会の理念を推進
し、環境負荷軽減に寄与します。

１）使用済み剥離紙の再資源化と普及促進
２）リサイクル個別スキーム確立の支援
３）リサイクルの現状の可視化と情報発信
課題解決策
循環サイクルを構築するためには、まず皆様にラベル台紙を資源として認識してもらう環境を整
えることが必要です。その上で、循環サイクルを円滑に行えるように、企業間のつながりを構築し
ていきます。

　　「再資源の輪を広げる」
　　紙やその原料木材の源となる森林は、人が管理することで継続的にリサイクルすることが可能です。
　　J-ECOLは、廃棄されるシール・ラベルの使用済み剥離紙もリサイクルすることを目指し、再資源の
輪を広げる仲間を募集しています。


Stickers and labels (hereafter referred to as labels) are now commonplace in our daily lives, but behind their popularity there is one issue. The "backing paper" that protects the adhesive side of the label, called "release paper," is treated as unnecessary after the label is used. Label backing paper is made from high-quality pulp, and with the development of recycling technology in recent years, it has become possible to use it as "recycled pulp" if it is properly collected. However, although each company has made efforts to recycle and reduce the environmental impact of label backing paper, there is no system in place throughout society, and the recycling and reduction rates are not high.
To solve this problem, companies that use labels, companies that manufacture labels, companies that reuse label mounts, and other related companies need to share the same will to make effective use of limited resources. Therefore, the General Incorporated Association, Japan Label Recycling Association (J-ECOL) was established with the goal of realizing a recycling-oriented society for labels.

Activity goal
To reuse label mounts, it is important that label users, manufacturers, and recyclers cooperate
to make effective use of resources. Rather than being an organization that provides
environmental products and services, we aim to collaborate on creating a recycling-based
society for labels throughout the entire supply chain, going beyond the boundaries of companies,
and promote the idea of a recycling-based society together with you, contributing to reducing
the burden on the environment.

1) Recycling of used release paper and promotion of its use
2) Support for the establishment of individual recycling schemes
3) Visualization of the current state of recycling and dissemination of information
Problem-solving solutions
In order to build a recycling cycle, we must first create an environment where everyone can
recognize label mounts as a resource. Then, we will build connections between companies to
facilitate the recycling cycle.

"Expanding the circle of recycling"
The forests that are the source of paper and its raw wood can be recycled continuously if managed
by humans.
J-ECOL aims to recycle used release paper from discarded stickers and labels, and is looking for people to help expand the circle of recycling.

People、Profit：人々がこれまでと変わらない生活していくための様々な「モノ」を選ぶとき、より環境を考えた材料を選んでもらうために、「現在の損より、未来の得（徳）」を考えた製品設計を開発の軸としている。
Planet：枯渇資源の使用量削減、再生可能資源の可及的な再利用など、地球が持つ「ポテンシャル」を低下させず、より多くのメリットを還元できるような製品開発活動を進めている。

People, Profit: When people choose various "things" to live their lives as before, product design that considers "future gains (virtues) rather than current losses" is the axis of development in order to encourage people to choose materials that are more environmentally friendly.
Planet: We are promoting product development activities that can return more benefits without reducing the "potential" of the earth, such as reducing the use of depleted resources and reusing renewable resources as much as possible.
