たのが妙法寺の開山とされ,
その後1274年に移り寺屋敷を建て、そして
1559年に現在の地に新築された。
本堂は明治19年の火災で焼失してしまい、
1899年に再建されたと言う由緒ある古寺を
訪ねた。
寺の山門に差しかかると「山門不幸」と言
う聞き覚えのない文言が書かれていた。
調べると寺の住職がお亡くなりなったよう
だ。
山門へ入ると人の気配はなく境内は桜が花
盛りで古い日本構築物とのバランスが美し
い。
寺の本堂の背景にまるで住職の死を悲しく
悼み見送るようにして桜の花が春の光の中
で燦燦と煌めい ていた。
