夏の涼感
日本海沿岸にそびえ立つ鳥海山は、海からの
湿った空気が山肌を吹きあげ、
多い年は年間12000ミリ以上の雨や雪を降らせる。
「元滝伏流水」は、鳥海山に染み込んだ水が８０
年の長い歳月をかけ、幅約30ｍの岩肌一帯から
一日5万トンもの水が湧き出している滝だ。
一年中枯れることのない水は、幾筋の線となって
流れ落ちて、豊かな苔を育み、
苔岩にはじけ飛んで美しいしずくの軌跡を描く。
この白い水と緑の苔とのバランスが大変きれいな
滝で、心癒される。
