GGJ Kerkrade, Making new connections by Glower
Based on the principles of meaningful connections by Brené Brown, we came up with a concept that engages people in interaction with each other by creating reciprocity of the following actions: look/seen, listen/heard, value/valued. Our prototype is a box with flowers, someone asks a stranger what he/she is most proud of, compliments the stranger for it and gives a flower and passes the box through. Thus, creating a chain of meaningful connectivity. Tests revealed some managable difficulties. The concept of complimenting a stranger without judgement worked quite well.
