「Tomorrow never knows (2015)」

「Tomorrow never knows (2015)」is a project setting up in NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM (NSTM), in Kaohsiuang, Taiwan. As a part of Climatic Change Exhibition, this model presents an imagination of our world after abrupt change when sea level rising.
By using digital tools (Rhino + RhinoScript) with fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology, we try to explore the possibility to working with affordable 3d printers. First, To divide the earth model into 411 different pieces, then to assemble these printed models to a sphere shape (with diameter of one meter), it makes the process more achievable from geometry studying to final fabrication with digital chain method. The whole project used 38 kg filaments to print and 2400+ printing hours, which is presenting a contemporary fable to remind us the Global Warming problem.
