Transparent 7-segment number indicator with single acrylic plate.
１枚の透明アクリル板で下からLED光を当てて７セグメント数字を表示させる装置です。デモは時計の分・秒を４桁で表示しています。
アクリル板にレーザーカッターで半カットしたパターンを作ることで下からの光を反射させながら各エレメントに光を誘導し彫刻した面の乱反射で点灯しているように見せて数字を表示します。
アクリルの透明感を損なわずに、数字を透明板に出すことが可能になります。
It is a device to display the 7-segment numbers by applying the LED light from the bottom in one piece of transparent acrylic plate. Demo displays the minutes and seconds of the clock in the four digits.
The show also displays the number to be lit by the induced irregular reflection of the engraved surface of the light to each element while reflecting the light from the bottom by making a pattern that is half cut by a laser cutter to an acrylic plate.
Without impairing the clarity of acrylic, it becomes possible to give a number to the transparent plate.
