Roquro
Roquro(ロクロ)は、Web上で動くバーチャルろくろアプリケーションです。自らの手で3Dの器を仮想空間上に作り上げ、プラスチック、ナイロン、陶器のような様々な素材で3Dプリントした完成品を手に入れることが出来ます。最短数十秒での器のデザインができ、素材によってはその日のうちに完成品を手にすることができます。
私たちの目的は、構えてボタンを押すだけのインスタントカメラと同じように、簡単に3Dモデルをデザインできるツールを作ることです。Leap Motionを使用することで、直接的に3Dオブジェクトを編集することができます。必要なのは「ろくろ」と聞いたときにあなたが想像する動きだけ。誰でも迷うことなく楽しく3Dオブジェクトをデザインすることができます。
回転体の形状であれば、大小を問わず様々なものの制作に転用できます。PCとLeap Motionという最小構成で設置でき、Webベースで特別な知識が必要ないため、店舗での販売やイベント会場での体験型装置として展開できます。『インターネット ヤミ市 東京 2016』では、100名以上の参加者が体験しました。
Roquro is a virtual pottery wheel web application. With Roquro, you can make 3D bowls in the virtual space by your hands. You can get 3D printed bowls made of various materials, PLA, nylon, ceramic, etc. You can design your bowls in a minute. By using PLA material, you can get real bowls on the same day.
Our goal is developing a 3D design tool like instant cameras, which enables us take pictures by pushing just one button. By using Leap Motion, you can edit 3D objects directly. All you need is simple motion. (You must have seen the motion in the movie "Ghost".) You can easily design 3D objects without stress.
This system can be used for designing many goods in the form of a solid of revolution. Because the system can be installed as a simple set (only Leap Motion and PC) and doesn't need specific knowledge, it is suitable for storefront sales or installations. We had a booth installation at "Internet Yami-ichi Tokyo 2016" and over 100 people enjoyed Roquro.
