Karada tap
In this project, we collaborate with a tap dancer unit and science museum.
Miyuki and Kiyomi are tap dancer performers who use sign language to communicate with each other.
Kiyomi uses a Hearing Handicap. They would like to convey the pleasure of Tap dance to Hearing - Impaired people as well.
We have designed a system that transfers the haptic sensation of tap dance from the stage to the audience.
This system broadcasts the haptic sensation to multiple people allowing them to experience the performance simultaneously.
We organized an event to verify effectiveness of the system. The system can achieve our purpose to let hearing-impaired People experience the of tap dance through haptic feedback; it also helps dancers and visitors empathize with each other.
