This project is based on the premise of reusing the coffee grounds that are created every time we drink coffee. Coffee grounds are a material that is created only when coffee beans carefully grown by coffee farmers are roasted with care by roasters, brewed by coffee stands and cafes for customers, and drunk by customers with various backgrounds. We started this project to help people who feel that it is a waste to throw away coffee grounds filled with stories. The coffee grounds are collected from the stores, and after proper treatment, they are produced at a workshop with specialized craftsmen and delivered to the stores. We hope that by using these items in your daily life, you will be inspired to think about cafes, production areas, and nature.

This project was born when I myself started practicing latte art while I was working part-time at a cafe while attending a design school. The more I practiced, the more I realized how wasteful it was to see a large amount of coffee grounds that I had to throw away. Since so much of my practice was being thrown away, I felt that I had to do something to help the situation in Tokyo, Japan, and the world. Since I was studying at a design school at the time, I searched for a way to solve the problem of coffee grounds using the concept of design. At that time, there was a new wave of "third wave" cafes coming to Japan, and I had a feeling that more and more cafes with a variety of specialties would be established, and at the same time, I had a feeling of impatience that more coffee dregs would be created. While I was going through the trial and error process, I also graduated from a vocational school, and even after I started working, I was still doing research every day.
It had been more than five years since I started working on the reuse of coffee grounds, and I thought someone might be doing something similar, so I did some research, but I couldn't find any organization or individual that was doing it.
So, for the first time, I felt that I had to do it myself, and started the project when I became independent from my company. -
