Brief concept description of the submitted project/idea
Zhangri La undergoes a manufacturing process which its standard has been strictly certified before putting into production. Raw materials, coatings, and chemicals are free of toxic substances, ensuring there’s no residual hazardous chemicals to our workers, users, and environment. The status of all the chemicals used during production are closely monitored as well as the standard values for chemicals contaminated in wastewater.
Vivid plastic cups and classic aluminium mugs are our design inspiration to improve and elevate the well-known traditional container. The contradiction of rustic yet meticulously pour, dip and spray glazing. Combining tribal decal to unveil the blue & white motif inspired by folk art tribal pattern on which recite the landscape of the lost Zhangri-La. With simple cylindrical shape of the plastic cup perform a canvas for each layer of truth materials: First, the locally sourced clay, with uniquely random speckles rendered natural beige color. Second, the clash of street and rustic glazing unveiling the tribal folks art motif. Emphasizing the unique details of the vessels such as the lip, the rim and handle’s knot. -

Zhangri La has infused the charm of traditional design with modern products. Taking inspiration from a classic cup shape and shed a contemporary light onto it. Vivid plastic cups and classic aluminium mugs are our design inspiration to improve and elevate these classic and popular vessels among the Thais, to be more suitable for hot drinks. The contradiction of rustic glaze and tribal decal unveiling the blue&white; inspired by folk art tribal pattern recite the landscape of the lost Zhangri-La.
