Line of products for food storage with composite materials from starch and Fique Fiber residues

The purpose of this research is to make use of Fique (Furcraea sp.) or Cabuya fiber residues, resulting from the production of thread spools (cordage), in order to contribute to the reuse of a waste product. It also seeks to promote the use of biodegradable raw materials of natural origin for the manufacture of products, designing a composite material with suitable characteristics for use in the development of biodegradable disposable products.
