飲茶已經是大家生活中的一部分，台灣一年瓶裝茶飲產生27萬噸的茶渣，過去茶渣都被用來作為堆肥，但茶渣中的茶多酚、多孔性結構以及茶香味都還有非常好的應用價值。唯一的缺點是茶渣的水分含量非常的高，有將近90％的含水率，是非常容易腐敗的，因此我們利用微生物發酵的方式去延長茶渣的保存及穩定茶渣的品質，再製為貓砂，讓貓咪飼主可以由使用礦物貓砂轉為使用天然原料的貓砂，降低環境的負擔，延長茶葉的使用週期，使用後的貓砂，可以再製成堆肥回到自然環境中，讓更多民眾都一起參與到環保再利用的循環中。
Tea has become a part of everyone's life. In Taiwan, bottled tea beverage produces 270,000 tons of tea residues a year. In the past, tea residues were used as compost.However, the tea polyphenols, porous structure and aroma in tea residues still have application values.The only disadvantage is that the moisture content of tea residues is very high, with a moisture content of nearly 90%, which is very easy to spoil. Therefore, we use microbial biotechnology to prolong the preservation of tea residues and maintain the quality of tea residues, and then repurpose the tea residues into cat litters.It allows us to use natural raw material cat litters without mineral cat litters, reducing environmental burden and prolonging the life cycle of tea leaves. The used cat litter can be composted and returned to the environment. -
