this is collaborate project of DEESAWAT and LANTARAY . DEESAWAT is teakwood specialist, and LANTARAY is lifestyle brand that support the environment of KOH Lanta isaland in the south of Thailand . LANTARAY has been collecting waste from local fisherman including discarded buoys from the fishing industrial , which has a short lifespan of only 6 month before they comecome blanced by the sun and unusable. In general, all the discarded buoys will be recycle, but with thei collaborate project, we believe that product can still be functional in other form before being recycle. This furniture articularly tells its story while raising environmental awareness , promotiong value createion from waste, and support local craftmanship.

How does your work address the 3 P’s (for Planet, for People, for Profit) for Sustainability?
first...planet...everything were been considered to be upcycled..but we believe that some of the product if we can extend their life before being recycle, it should be better. Second , people...we have buy a new buoy and exchange for the expire one so that all the fisher man can know about the effect that they have made and be considerate about all the trash in their business. and finally profit, this project we will work with all the hotel and resport in LANTA island to be part of this environmental concern event.
