Detailed explanation of the submitted project or idea (in English or both English and your language)
DEESAWAT has been doing a lot of project for Green , ECO and upcycling. So with this project, we decided to think of the design that will not create waste. I believe that this is the next step of Circular by creating something that is easy to recycle or circular process has been designed from the beginning. The benefit from this project is that 1. factory..process make easy as the part are uniform, so easy production and faster process. 2. end user...the retail price is cheaper by 15% as less off cut material..and simplier production. 3. environment..we have check for both process for the carbon foot print, and the new process has got figure of less 15-20 carbon . And on top, material is material...they can still have value....so it is like preserve material in function for future consumption. credit to DPIM and MTEC for the Circular Design solution project.

Special Prize Question 1: How does your project or idea make use of local resources, such as materials and knowledge, to tackle its challenge?
in thailand and everywhere in the world..please are try to recycle material as a new material. That is one way of circular. But we believe that, everything need to start from the beginning..if we do not stop creating the waste, then there is no way that people can catch up with the recycle process.

Special Prize Question 2: How does your project or idea sustain its activities through the involvement of the local community?
our community is designer community in thailand. We hope that this initiative concept should stimulate young and mature designer to think before design. think of how the new product will become waste...think of how hard it will be if we need to recycle...and think of the cost and environmental effect on the process of recycle.
-
Special Prize Question 3: How does your project or idea eliminate waste or pollution while regenerating natural resources?
no one ever talk about the second life of the product. we have create a product with the long lasting lifecycle for the first life...and end up to be the new material for the second life. This will totally replace the virgin material...and of couse the value of wood material in the future will be higher..that is why customer will benefit from having good material for future production.

PINIC set
DEESAWAT has been doing a lot of picnic table. But under the project of CE design solution from MTEC thailand, we have decided to modified our table under the Circular concept. This table and bench has been designed with limited material size of 4 sizes. Traditional furniture product need to be profile with dowel and joint with glue. So we have found that with the profile and glue, the material are hard to recycle or reused as the material generally can be reused by only 50-60%. So with the redesign concept, all the piece were only cut and joint with screw only. They can be easily dismental and reused as raw material for second life of production (replace virgin material). World today are concerned on Upcyling..but if we design from day one, there is nothing to recycle as they turn back into raw material. For this concept, there is no enegy or effort required to input into the product to transform them into raw material...just simply unscrew.
