作品/プロセスを構築するにあたって使用した高次素材について
Material exploration:I create sculptures by mixing discarded tea leaves with biodegradable glue, finding that the thicker the sample, the more durable it becomes. I've also experimented with blending tea leaves and copper to produce samples. I experimented with making tea dye and tea ink from discarded tea leaves. Finally, I created bio-leather by combining discarded tea brew, tea leaves, and gelatin. Ideation:I created this skirt by integrating the shapes of tea leaves, tea trees, and insects. Beyond biomaterials, the inclusion of metals representing human civilization introduces another layer of symbiosis between humans and nature. The collar is made of tea leaves, bent and twisted together. Decorations are a mix of tea tree and insect leg shapes. The center features a blend of the insect's skeletal structure and the texture of tea, while the hem combines dried leaves with insect molting, where the bubbles produced in leather-making resonate with the marks left by insect bites. and the back of the dress showcases insect wings with mechanical structures. Product development phase:Tea leather's texture changes with different environmental humidity levels, allowing the clothing to interact with its surroundings. As an active carbon, tea garments can also absorb odors from the air. Rich in polyphenols, tea leaves offer antioxidative properties, making these garments more durable than other bioclothes. However, tea leather can quickly mold in enclosed and damp spaces.

TeaFab: Tea-inspired innovative biomaterials fashion
TeaFab is a fashion project that reimagines discarded tea leaves as biomaterials for creating skirts, drawing inspiration from the Oriental Beauty tea. This oolong tea is uniquely aromatic due to insect bites, and the designs incorporate the tea leaves, brew, and the small green leafhopper, symbolizing nature's intricate balance. Beyond biomaterials, the use of metal elements signifies the symbiotic relationship between human and nature. The tea, acting as potent antioxidants and reducing agents, ensure the garments are not only eco-friendly but durable. Manifesto:Nature-Culture-Future
