Ishigaki Island Pineapples

The red acidic soil of Ishigaki Island is perfect for growing pineapples, which are not often grown in the rest of Japan. Ishigaki is on average about 2 degrees warmer than the rest of Okinawa, so the pineapples grown there are sweeter and stronger in flavor. Ishigaki pineapples, picked ripe and ready to eat, have the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness only found in Japan-grown produce.
