今回のテーマは「仙台伝統野菜」。
“仙台白菜”“仙台曲りねぎ”など、宮城・仙台で400年以上受け継がれてきた野菜です。その美味しさと希少さから注目を集めてきましたが、2011年の東日本大震災によって多くの畑が津波を受け、生産者の多くも被災してしまいました。その結果、作り手が大きく減っています。
仙台という場所ならではの、この大切な野菜を絶やしたくない――。ふたたび作り手を増やし、県産品として広めていくために、地域のみなさんが普及活動を続けています。
しかし、仙台伝統野菜には、プロモーションをしていくための綺麗な写真やイラストがありません。
そこでクリエイターのみなさん、この野菜の美味しさや魅力を伝えるイラストを描いて、産地の応援に協力してみませんか？

Our theme for the event this time is “Traditional Sendai Vegetables”. “Sendai Cabbage”, and “Sendai Curved Green Onions”, among others, are vegetables that have been passed down for over 400 years in Sendai and Miyagi.
The great taste and the scarcity of these vegetables put them in the spotlight, but many of the vegetable fields were damaged by the tsunami in the 2011 disaster, causing many producers of these vegetables to suffer as well. As a result, the number of producers has greatly dwindled.
In Sendai of all places, we do not want to see these one-of-a-kind, precious vegetables disappear. Community efforts continue to promote the distribution of goods produced in the prefecture, and to once again boost the number of vegetable producers. However, there are no captivating pictures or illustrations that can be used to promote this traditional Sendai produce; that’s why we would like to ask you creative types for your cooperation. Help us out in supporting the area by drawing an illustration that shows the beauty and great-taste of these vegetables!
