The design provides an alternative, more instinctual and and sensorial, method for perceiving the passing of time.
It uses an incense-stick as a timing device which, attached horizontally across a delineated tray, burns slowly at a constant pace (approximately two-minutes per segment), leaving a trail of ashes that indicate the passing of time.
The design allows one not only perceive the extent of time, but also (if one is perceptive enough) to 'smell' the time...
The design was made of 3D printed black steel.
