Bioceramic ® is a polyester fibre bonded to bio-ceramic material that is good for the body. It naturally absorbs harmful UV-A and UV-B ultraviolet rays that can irritate and burn the skin. It also reflects the hot rays of the sun, creating a genuine barrier against heat.
This unique technology helps lower the internal surface temperature of the fabric to keep you cool and comfortable during sports activities and under the sun. The result is a considerable decrease in calorie consumption and therefore of the body’s
physical energy. Due to the presence of bio-ceramic material, Bioceramic ® has high heat insulating properties, allowing the body temperature to remain constant even in extremely cold conditions. Finally, Bioceramic ® has a stimulating action

How it is made:
After several years of research by the responsible R&D department they selected a certain type of minerals characterized by thermic capacity and light reflection properties to create a new yarn named Bioceramic ®
The minerals chosen are:
Titanium Dioxide
Silicon Dioxide
Aluminium Oxide
Zinc Dioxide
The minerals were subjected to different processing steps to make them a nanometer-sized powder which subse-quently allowed them to be added to PET and give life to the Bioceramic ® Master Batch. The Master Batch was mixed with Polyester and subsequently extruded to obtain the Bioceramic ® yarn, both filament and fiber.
Tests:
The tests carried out show that Bioceramic ® significantly reduces the consumption of calories, thus safeguard-ing the physical energy of the body.
