DAYDREAM - Textile Art
I created my textile art by hand using basic geometric pieces which I had cut using a laser cutter. Thanks to multiplication and attachment in different ways, I was able to form sculptural organic shapes. I used felt because it is a great fabric - it is very flexible and easy to form. I intentionally used a monochrome palette to outline the shape.
When I work I feel more like a sculptor than a tailor. I like to distort and transform the natural silhouette of the body using textile art. This collection depicts my sculptural way of thinking about fabric and technical abilities of its formation.
