Biography
Noor Stenfert Kroese (1993*, NL) works with embodied interactive installation at the intersection of space, time and human activity which is inspired by the interconnectedness of science, nature and technology. She is currently studying MA Interface Cultures at Kunstuniversität Linz (AT) after completing her BA Scenography at the Amsterdam University of Arts (NL).
She works across various media such as video, light, bio-art, theatre, performance and new media arts. Looking for the intertwinement between her work and the spectators in which new and existing ideas and structures can transform. Creating space to experience and reflect on developments in science, society and technology that seem elusive but are essential for where we as humanity are going. By zooming in on an abstract subject and converting it into a physically embodied experience. The work does not provide a direct answer but seeks the space to ask questions and to experience them in a world in which you consciously take a place in the moving, uncontrollable network we are part of.
Noor Stenfert Kroese’s work has been exhibited at multiple festivals. theatres and museums such as the Barcelona Design week, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, EYE Filmmuseum Amsterdam, Dutch National Opera & Ballet, Oerol theatre festival and the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz.
