I have enjoyed doodling these abstract designs all my life. In the past few years have I discovered a way to bring them to life in a more interesting way. Often when I am working I am surprised to see what emerges from the original design. Sometimes I begin to see something resembling an animal or a person, or a piece of fruit. From there I will often build on that idea and turn the drawing into a more recognizable shape. Most often though I simply enhance the original design to give it more depth and movement by cutting out portions and introducing colored and textured papers.
