Skyway Avenue (Arabian City)

One of the personal work I've done, deeply inspired by Arabian culture. When I'm creating this piece, I've planned to create something different, something unique than what I've done before so I combined Arabian culture with steampunk and a bit sci fi element as well. I tried to break away from my own comfort zone and twist the angle so it looks dynamic and unique. I used Tuk-Tuk - a yellow taxi car in Arabian country as the focus point of the painting because it carried outstanding colour and it is in contrast with the bluish green background I wanted to use for. Besides, I also modified the design on the taxi as I planned to make a taxi car become a flying car in the middle of the city. To enhance the depth of field, I make the city slightly fish eye view so there's enough space to focus on the car. To enhance the Arabian atmosphere, I added lens flare effect on the top left corner and an upside down building overshadowing it so that the lighting looks dramatic and interesting. Besides, I also add in Arabian architecture that I've research and modified it to look more steampunk and sci fi-ish.
