東京駅周辺に所有・管理物件を多く持つ三菱地所㈱の特性を活かし、東京駅周辺エリアのオフィスから処分される家具を多数入荷し、検品・清掃してリユース家具として手ごろな価格で販売しています。有楽町駅徒歩1分の有楽町ビル約600坪にショールーム 兼 倉庫を構え、3,000～4,000点の在庫商品を取り揃えております。商品は、チェア・デスク・テーブル・キャビネット・ホワイトボードなどオフィスで使用される家具を中心ですが、三菱地所グループが取り扱うタワーマンションのモデルルームやショッピングセンター等からホームファニチャーを入荷することもあります。ブランドはオカムラ、コクヨ、イトーキ、内田洋行を始めとした国内メーカーだけでなく、ハーマンミラー、スチールケース、USM、ヴィトラ、ウィルクハーン等の欧米メーカーの入荷もございます。家具の簡単なアップサイクル、抗菌対応、カーペット新古品販売等も取り扱い、販売業務を含めたショールーム兼倉庫の運営はコーユーレンティア（株）に業務委託しております。販売以外にレンタルでの提供も可能です。また、空室を抱えたオーナー様向けにオフィスに家具をレイアウトしたセットアップオフィスの提案も行っています。

Ecofurni takes in a large amount of furniture that are marked for disposal from offices in the Tokyo Station area, inspect and clean them, and sell them as reused furniture at affordable prices. Our service is taking advantage of Mitsubishi Estate’s characteristics, which owns and manages many properties in the Tokyo Station area. In the Yurakucho Building, a minute walk from Yurakucho Station, we have a showroom/warehouse of about 2000 square meters holding 3,000 to 4,000 items in stock. We deal mainly in office furniture such as chairs, desks, tables, cabinets, and whiteboards. We also sometimes take home furniture from show apartments of tower condominiums and shopping malls handled by the Mitsubishi Estate Group. We deal not only with domestic manufacturers such as Okamura, Kokuyo, Itoki, and Uchida Yoko, but also with Western manufacturers such as Herman Miller, Steelcase, USM, Vitra, and Wilkhahn. Ecofurni also offers easy upcycling for furniture, anti-bacterial support, and new and used carpet sales. We outsource the operation of our showroom and warehouse, including sales, to Koyou Rentia Co. In addition to sales, we can also provide rental services. Furthermore, owners with office vacancies can consult us for furnished office setups.

オフィスビルの運営管理の業務を行う中で、テナントがビルを移転する際等にオフィス家具が大量に処分される現状を知り、純粋に「もったいない」と感じ、その課題解決を考えるようになりました。また、オフィスビルのテナント誘致の業務を行う中で、従来はテナント側で家具を持ち込むことが一般的でしたが、近年ではオーナーがオフィス家具をセットアップして賃貸するケースも増え、リユース家具という商材に可能性を感じました。2020年度の社内の新事業提案制度に、本事業を応募したところ合格となり、「エコファニ」と名付けて2021年から試験的に開始したところ予想以上にニーズが多く、2022年3月より本格始動に至りました。そもそも、東京駅周辺でどれだけ廃棄物が発生しているか、データがありません。テナントが処分する家具等は、排出事業者がテナントとなるため、オーナー側でのモニタリングができないからです。エコファニとしてはこの課題解決にもアプローチしていくことが次なる役割だと考えています。

While engaging in office building management and tenant attraction, I learned that large amounts of office furniture are being disposed of when tenants move out of a building. It kickstarted my search for a solution to the waste problem. At the same time, I saw an uptrend in recent years where owners set up furnished offices, despite generally renting out only rooms and having their tenants bringing in their furniture. There was potential in reused furniture as a commercial product. I submitted the project for the new business proposal program in the company in fiscal 2020, and it was approved. As we found that the demand for the service was higher than expected in the trial operation in 2021, we officially launched Ecofurni as a full-scale operation in March 2022.
To begin with, no one knows how much office furniture is disposed of in the Tokyo Station area. That is because office furniture used by tenants is disposed of by the tenants and is not under the control of the owners. One of our future roles is to address the overall disposal issue of office furniture in the Tokyo Station area.

本事業は製造業ではない為、SDGs17の目標／12「つくる責任・つかう責任」のうち「つかう責任」に焦点を当て取り組んでおります。「都心のどまんなか」・「オフィス街のどまんなか」にストックヤードを構えることができるのは、東京駅周辺に多数の不動産を保有する当社だからこそできることです。ゆえに、入荷商品のうち6割以上は半径2キロ圏内からの入荷（※）で、再販納品先も近距離であることが多く、「地産地消」・「より小さな循環のループを優先」して事業を推進しております。リユース家具を扱う会社は多数ありますが、同じ「家具のリユース」だとしても東京駅周辺を中心にできる限り狭域における循環を優先することで、輸送に伴う環境負荷も抑えております。

Since Ecofurni is not a manufacturing business, we are focusing on the responsible consumption of SDGs Goal 12, "Responsible consumption and production." The fact that we own many real estate properties near Tokyo Station enables us to set up a stockyard in the heart of the city center and the heart of the office district. Therefore, more than 60% of the products we receive come from within a 2-kilometer radius*, and our resale delivery destinations are often within a short distance. We promote our business by prioritizing "local production for local consumption" and "a tighter loop of circulation.” Among the many other companies that handle reused furniture, we are unique in that we prioritize circulation within a narrow area, mainly around Tokyo Station, to minimize the environmental impact of transportation.

基本的には就業人口28万人（※）と言われる東京駅周辺の就業者を商圏に、それに関連するコミュニティと連携して事業を推進しております。まずは三菱地所グループの中でオフィスビルの運営管理を担い、テナントと日常的に接する機会の多い三菱地所プロパティマネジメント㈱です。テナントから同社を通して不用品の処分、家具の購入等の相談を受け、エコファニがワンストップで課題解決します。次に、東京駅至近の大手町・丸の内・有楽町地区（以下、大丸有エリア）を起点に、街ぐるみでSDGsにチャレンジしSDGs達成に向けた活動を推進する「大丸有SDGs ACT5」と連携し、三菱地所グループの企業や団体の枠を超えた連携を実施しております。

Ecofurni promotes our business in cooperation with related communities in the trade area around Tokyo Station, which has a working population of 280,000*. One of our partners is Mitsubishi Estate Property Management Co., Ltd., responsible for operating and managing office buildings within the Mitsubishi Estate Group and has many opportunities to communicate with tenants. Through the company, tenants can consult about the disposal of disused items and furniture purchases, thus allowing us to provide one-stop solutions. In addition, we organized cooperation beyond the boundaries of the Mitsubishi Estate Group and organizations by collaborating with "Dai Maru Yu SDGs ACT5," which is promoting activities to achieve the SDGs by challenging the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho districts near Tokyo Station to achieve them.

引取依頼された家具のうち、その状態からエコファニでのリユース入荷に至らないと判断した家具は可能な限り廃棄物とならないように取り組んでおります。様々な家具がありますが、オフィス家具は全てもしくは一部がスチール製のものが多いです。作業工数の観点から纏めて廃棄することも少なくないですが、エコファニでは家具の解体作業員を増やし、可能な限りスチール部分はオフィスビルから搬出される前にスチールに纏め（※）、廃棄物とせずに鉄工所等に金属屑として売却し、廃棄物の削減に努めています。
※例えば脚部がスチール製、天板が木製の家具はオフィスビル内で解体して素材別に仕分けます。

For some requests for pickup where the furniture cannot be reused due to its condition, Ecofurni tries to maximize its utilization. Most office furniture is all or partially made of steel, although furniture materials vary. They are generally disposed of without first sorting by material to shorten processing hours. However, we increased the number of furniture dismantling workers to dismantle furniture before removing them from the office buildings, sort the steel, and sell it to ironworks as scrap metal to reduce waste. For example, furniture with steel legs and wooden tops is disassembled in the office building and sorted by material.
