OUR PROBLEM STATEMENT:
"To provide alternatives for people who use fossil fuels to commute to the University of Twente and motivate people to choose the alternatives"
Based on our interviews we found that the people who are close-by mostly commute to the university by bike or walk. The problem is with people who are far away from the university who come in cars that are fossil fuel-driven. We want to make them choose a more sustainable way of transportation
The major reason to use cars:
1)Time-saving
2)Flexibility
3)Habit
4)Public transport cost more
We are trying to solve this problem by introducing the following change in the system:
1)The bus that can carry bikes that are clean energy-driven
2)Increase parking charges and use the extra money to invest in clean alternatives
3)Encourage people to use more sustainable transportationby reward system
4) Reduce fossil fuel consumption in public transports
