GGJ Istanbul, Don't Waste! Recycle! by Team Voltran

After the announcement of the themes. We teamed up. Our problem statement is
“How might we make the consumers conscious about recycling electronic waste and let them take the most beneficial actions to the ecosystem? ”. We have analyzed the problem using the Five W approach individually. Then we grouped each idea by main categories. We decided on what the targets are which are Regulators, Producers, and consumers. We focused on the consumers and we divided them by generations. We have prepared questions for field research and we categorized the questions and put in order. Then we got out for field research and one of us stayed for the desktop research. We analyzed the answers and categorized them. We picked the most significant which is “ People who don't know what to do with their electronic waste. “ We created some insights individually then discussed then and picked one which is “ Consumers want to recycle their malfunctioning or obsolete mobile phones because they think it’s beneficial to the environment, but they don’t know where to take them for recycling purposes. ” We started to create a scenario for the viral advertisement and the product. The second day we started shooting the advertisement. We decided on the process and created a storyboard. Using the materials in the studio we started to develop the product. We finished the pretotypes and we presented it to people. After we got creative critiques we started on the second iteration. And we developed the prototype into its final form.
