Entry requirements
After KIGI conducts the primary evaluation, guest commentator Rika Fukuda, a confectionery researcher, will evaluate the works in public. The winners will be given a chance to sell their products at OFS, or hold an event.
■ Items for entry
Food (excluding perishables), drinks (coffee, black tea, tea, juice, Japanese sake, etc.), baked confectioneries, food coordination service or catering service.
*For food items, we generally accept only processed foods.Raw foods or perishable foods (must be consumed within 10 days) are not eligible.
■ Requirements for entry
Please submit the below items when entering.
● Image of the work
ーUp to 4 color photos.For a product, please include photos that clearly show the packaging and content. For catering, include pictures of the prepared food.
ーDescription of the work (around 300 characters)
*This text will be displayed on the website upon entry.
● List of ingredients
Please display all of the ingredients. For a product, please also list the country of origin.For foods containing allergens, be sure to mention it.For catering, please specify the ingredients used as much as possible.
● Website
Include any additional link to a website where we can see additional information regarding the work, activity, or brand of the item.
● Stock situation and retail price
Please let us know if you are already selling or planning to sell the work as a product.
●Expiration date or best by date (only for food products)
●Current sales situation
Please inform us whether the product is yet to be released, or being sold in stores (if so, please include the dealers).
■ Selection
KIGI will hold a primary evaluation of the works that have been submitted online. Afterwards, we will select the winners through an open evaluation at "Shirokane Go-chome Award" party scheduled to be held on June 27th.
Entry deadline:Wednesday, June 17th
Primary evaluation:late June
Primary review is by KIGI.We will contact entrants who have advanced to the second evaluation, and request them to send in their actual works.(The entrant is responsible for paying for the shipping costs for the evaluation)
Secondary evaluation:Wednesday, June 27
*We will hold the second commentary with guest commentator, Rika Fukuda.
Winner announcement:Mid July
■ Participation conditions
-The food must be cooked at a facility with food sanitation supervisor certification, and an operating license. The entrant must be qualified or own an operating license to cook and sell foods (registered at a public health center).
-The entrant must have undergone a suitable procedure, or obtained permission for cooking and selling foods.
- The entrant must be able to participate in the AWRD party (June 27).If this is difficult, the entrant should be able to actually send their work, or submit food that can be shipped.
- For catering, entrants should be able to join and prepare food for the party.
- Groups or brands may also enter. If so, their representative should apply.
Recommended to these types of entrants:
- Someone who is currently selling products only in limited areas, and wants to expand their sales channels and product appeal in Tokyo.。
- Someone who would like to hold tasting events of their company’s products.
- Someone who would like to try producing a catering event, etc.
■ About the prizes
Grand Prize (food):We will sell and exhibit the product for a limited time at OFS.(Terms of handling and transaction will be decided upon consulting the winners)
Grand Prize (catering): We will request the winner to cater at an OFS event, or at the opening of the exhibition.(Time and event are negotiable)
Other prizes:Judge KIGI and commentator Rika Fukuda's comments of the work will be sent after the evaluation.
*If there is no qualified winner in a category after evaluation, there will be no winner.
