WORK FROM BATH

I was having a conversation with my close friends, a married couple who have been using a single thin sliding screen to divide their space while working from home. While discussing ways to create workspaces where they could both concentrate, I casually suggested using the bathtub - and just like that, my idea was born.
When my friends tried implementing this idea, they ended up having a very positive experience. This space created just the right amount of isolation, and they also could bring in plants and other accessories to create an office space to suit their tastes. What’s more, their colleagues were quite entertained by this workspace during video calls!
As the move towards WFH continues, I think that going beyond the usual living room setting and working from the tub could be a great change of pace. I would love to see other people try this out and offer their own original takes as well.

Every house has one, and yet we only use the bathroom and tub for a few hours at most per day. While this area certainly offers space and much potential for use, I doubt many people think to use it for anything besides bathing. The idea to utilize this space for new purposes beyond washing was fascinating, as was the idea of using partitions to actually encourage smoother communication between family members.
I chose this idea because I thought it would make a great starting point for people to add other ideas to, resulting in all manner of new combinations and creations.

WFH Jammies

Thank you very much for recognizing my work with this wonderful award!
This project was launched at my own company, as there were many people who wanted to try wearing these “WFH Jammies” for themselves. While this humorous product certainly prioritizes the entertaining visual aspect, we did collaborate with the women’s brand “LOKITHO” to ensure that it would be crafted with care and precision.During this pandemic, I believe that the new remote work model will continue to become the new norm. I hope that these WFH Jammies help to make people’s home work environments both a little more practical and a little cosier.

This struck me as a true product of the times. I can even imagine a future where this sort of wear becomes the standard in response to our changing lifestyles. I saw some parallels to my own “MUDAzukuri” (useless creation) project, but the simple idea, combined with the product and promotion design, creates a sense of balance that actually makes people want to get this product! We all know the mixed feeling of not wanting to get dressed up for an online meeting, yet also not wanting to look unkempt. I was really impressed at how this feeling was addressed using fashion, and then rapidly mass-produced.

I am honored to have had my work chosen by judge Ignasi Pascual. Thank you very much!
I used to throw out the garbage on my way to work, but this unremarkable act has now become surprisingly tricky, as my current daily routine doesn’t even involve leaving the house in order to begin work. I had never experienced these particular inconveniences or issues before, but the current situation has forced us to make big changes to our lifestyles. I took these changes as guiding hints for devising a newer, better structure for day-to-day life.
This wasn’t just about me, though - I wanted anyone with the same problem to be able to get their hands on this creation, and therefore chose to share the design information on Github. (Those who find constructing the device too difficult also have the option of purchasing the product ready-made.) I hope this helps to make people’s living spaces both more comfortable and also easier to work in.

Great idea, great implementation and a working prototype. Altought, not from the subject of the competition, we would have loved to have the same platform with this great product applied to something with more added value.
