The reluming apparatus

なにを：
不完全なアニメーションを灯す装置を

なぜ：
完全さが求められる現代におけるカウンターとして

誰のために：
「アニメーション」という形態を更新すべく作った。この作品を観る全ての人のために制作している。

ブレやボケといった不器用なぎこちなさが、アニメーションが眼前に「いる」感覚をもたらす。
その感覚こそが私が本作で実現したかったものである。

What I made:
I made two clumsy robots that project spatial animation into any spaces,

Why I made:
to show the “animation” that is vague, blurred, and full of clumsy images, contrary to the “perfect” style of projection mapping, or Virtual Reality.

For who:
To every people who see this animation, with a desire of updating the form of “animation” itself.

This animation is imperfect and clumsy, as you can see the blur and unstableness.
However, that clumsiness made a sensation of “animation existing here”, and that sensation is what I wanted to accomplish in this work.

1995年北海道出身。東京藝術大学大学院映像研究科メディア映像専攻修了。修了制作として『灯すための装置』(20)を発表。現在、ベルリン芸術大学 Kunst und Medien科在籍。灯すための、より開かれた“アニメーション”を制作している。江副記念リクルート財団第49回奨学生。
