Please describe the concept of your artwork in 1000 words.
Safely In School is an automatic school check-in and check-out system via an unintrusive wearable sensor, integrated into school uniforms of primary school children in the UK, paired with a tracking app for parents and a real-time register screen inside the school.
Upon entering and leaving the school premises or building and the classroom, a scanner at the door will automatically check the pupil in and out. This will be displayed in real-time on the register screen, which can be inside the school reception or in the classroom.
The sensor will also send live status updates to an app on the parents’ mobile device, so they too will be at all times updated on the status of their child. -

Work Specification
The project has not been fully developed yet, However I have spoken to parents and school teachers about the requirements involved with regards to health and safety, privacy and security
Safely In School will feature:
1. Wearable sensor inside school uniform. I have researched wearable tech, and currently there are major strides being made in the technology. These sensors will use existing wireless wi-fi technology
2. Readers at school premises and classrooms.
3. School register interface and software functionality. I designed mock-ups of user interface using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe illustrator.
4. Mobile app. I designed reliminary mock ups of this app interface using Adobe Creative Suite -
