During this pandemic something we can all agree that we are missing is social interaction. This is why I decided to focus on music festivals, a event with high socialization levels that has been put on hold during this pandemic.

With this said my plan is to focus on UX/UI Design bringing, giving events and the interaction within them new live. Something we are seeing that’s been done already is the creation of concerts trough the “live” options in social media but this only limits people to watch a perfomance live without having the best part of these festivals which is the social interaction with the artist and with the other members of the audience.
So the solution I propose is to actually bring the audience and the artist closer together by still doing the live perfomances online but enhancing this with the presence of the audience in the cameras, this way the artist could easily interact with them, making them sing along and seeing they’re reactions when they play a specific song. But we should not forget the part where the audience needs to interact with eachother, so why not create a separete chat within the live were the audience could talk with each other within the live without disturbing the artist.

This is my plan so far and to encourage this the addition of face filters is a way of not only promoting the event but as well to interact within the event, instead of the boards that we see in concerts saying “Hello mom, I’m on TV!” the implemation of filter saying this for example would be put into the live.

To make this something that would last after the pandemic the solution I see is to implent this technique into actual festivals, making it another form of promoting the event trough social media and bring people who cannot possible attend the event, due to personal or health issues, still be present.

To create AR filters used Instagram the most common tool used is Spark AR which allows anyone to create an filter and not only it allows you to create a face filter but as well to sync effects with movement which both can be used for the festival creating a better experience and defying the meaning of online interaction.
