Please describe the concept of your artwork in 1000 words.
A concept idea proposal for a new device that allows travelling through cities avoiding direct contact with surfaces in order to prevent the spread of viruses. The device has the form of a ring with an NFC integrated circuit that would have the data needed to activate certain actions that nowadays require contact, like pushing pedestrian traffic lights or public transport door handles, among other examples. This device will also have the ability to perform the contactless features already implemented in public transport: transit fee payment. It would be managed using an app on a smartphone and uploaded to the device using the NFC enabled in the phone.

Work Specification
For the proposal, sketching, 3D modelling and rendering were the main development tools used. For the real project, the main materials would be one that has the characteristics to support a small NFC circuit for the ring. No other features were added in the device to avoid the need for charging it, that way is always ready to use when going out. Another main part of the proposal is the installation of NFC readers in the urban elements and objects that currently function with touch, which is well-known technology but still will be a slow process until the whole system is implemented in a big city.
