ロックスターになれる音と光のホウキギター。
The ‘Broom Guitar’ for manipulating sound and light what makes you a rock star.
日々仕事に追われる中で、ふと自分は夢を追いかける事を忘れてしまったのかと思った時、昔の記憶が脳裏をよぎった。
ロックスターに憧れ、掃除時間にしたホウキギター遊び。ホウキをかき鳴らすとエレキギターの音が響き、ステージの自分にスポットライトが当たるという妄想。その夢が現実になるホウキギターを制作した。
ギターの音が鳴り、演奏者に光が当たると自然に注目を集め、周囲の人々は観客となり、その場がステージへと変化する。それらが相互作用する事で演奏者はロックスターになる。
ホウキがギターに変化する事をトリガーとして周囲の人々と演奏者の関係性が変化していく中で、作者の小さな頃の夢の疑似体験する演奏者に、夢を忘れない事の大切さを熱く問いかける。
While I had so much work to do everyday, I thought that I may forget to chase my dreams, and old memories occurred to my mind.
In childhood, I played the air guitar with a broom longing for a rock star at elementary school’s cleaning time.
In my imagination, when I strummed the guitar, the sound of an electric guitar began to resound,
and spotlighted me on the stage...
Now I’ve created the broom guitar for realizing that dream.
Guitar sound and light catch the eye, and the people who happen to be around turn audience then that place turn stage. Those things interacting with each other make the player a rock star.
Through changing the relations between player and people around triggered by turning the broom into guitar, I’m passionately urging importance of not forgetting dreams on player experiencing simulated my dream of childhood.
