-33% of patients don’t take their medicine at all
-23% of nursing home admissions are due to the failure to take drugs on time.
-10% of hospital admissions are due to the failure to take drugs on time.

Aim of design
“ECP" is a top-down solution for the problem. With integration with the UDDS, and the use of 5G and LOT technology, ECP will help patients to:
take the right medicine
with the right amount
at the right time
in a user-friendly, reliable, affordable way.
Save time for the caregivers & medical experts on medicine arrangement & let them focus on taking care of the patients which are their valuable expertise.
The design
3 simple steps of preparation
1- Unit doses distribute to patients
2-Scan QR code on the package & install the medication rolls into the weekly cartridges accordingly
3-Insert week cartridge into the ECP device & the ECP station
(synchronize with the smartphone apps. Alert for medication time will be set up automatically )
3 simple steps to use
A-Gentle alert sound & light/ vibration on the ECP & patient’s smartphone when it’s time for medication
Patients press the green button to stop the alert. Then the ECP will gently eject a dose of medicine
B-Patient takes the dose from the device. The LCD will display the time for the next medication
C-Alert message automatically send to caregiver & medical center when missed dose, unscheduled cartridge removal/ installation… Timely intervention can be made. -

It’s never easy to get the patient to take the medicine correctly. But it is very important for the whole treatment.
It’s so hard to remember to take your medicine correctly. There are so many barriers and distractions that can get in the way. Even when a person is highly motivated, there are still missed doses or incorrect medication.
Doctors, pharmacies, and insurance companies are all acutely aware of the poor outcomes and massive costs incurred by “medication noncompliance.”* Research articles on medication noncompliance show that when people don’t take their medication, they are likely to get sicker (even die) and incur higher healthcare costs. This is especially true for people with chronic illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease.
There is a lot of products in the market try to solve bottom-up, however, comes with shortcoming & limitation which cannot fix the problem.
“ECP" is a top-down solution for the problem. With integration with the UDDS, and the use of 5G and LOT technology, ECP will help patients to take medication correctly. Set the patients & caregivers free from the stress & anxiety of taking medication. Timely intervention can be made when there’s missed dose, unscheduled medication, or other incorrect medication.
