Nothing to Hide

Others
Nothing to Hide is a short educational game about weaponized digital advertisements. A player takes on the role of a political manipulator employed to help the Conservative party in a fictional country to win a presidential election. To do that, they will have to use several strategies of weaponizing digital advertisements and exploiting the votes’ data. I aim to showcase with this game the severity of the problem that mass surveillance and behaviour prediction and manipulation practices have created, and how it can be evidenced in much more than just intrusive commercial product advertisements. Therefore, the game aims at inoculating the players against both data extraction practices and political propaganda online.
