Electric News was developed with the aim of exploring a basketry technique (located in a village called Alcongosta in central Portugal) with another material, in order to value the same technique in another context.
To develop the project in question, we acquired a lantern with a length of 20 meters. We started to develop the base with some strips of oak, crossing each other. Then the construction of the project began, where the strips that came from the base were crossed with the extension wire so that the project gained height. At the end, that is, at the top, after having already reached the predicted height, we started to wrap an oak strip around the top, in order to finalize the project.
