Topographical Conversation Pit

The Topographical Conversation Pit is a visionary project that seamlessly blends human design and natural landscapes to create a unique and inviting space for community gatherings and conversations. Inspired by the renowned sculptor Maya Lin and her iconic "Wave Field," this innovative endeavor aims to reconnect people with nature and challenge conventional notions of design by embracing the earth itself as a medium of artistic expression. It aims to harmoniously integrate human-made elements into the natural world, fostering a deeper connection between people and the environment. This project is a testament to the belief that design should draw inspiration from, and coexist harmoniously with, our natural spaces.

The pit is comprised of topsoil and grass. Hand dug and engineered. Around 2 months into grass growth.
