Team Kayakers

Plastics and other trash in the ocean are causing issues such as entanglement of sea life and life-threatening digestion of microplastics. Our challenge is to create a time-saving trash collection method with better onboard storage for local volunteers/kayak lovers. Our paddles with catch trash from net traps and we will use a compactor box so kayakers can carry more trash more easily. We hope to popularize the activity through community meet ups and already existing kayaking groups.
