It is my belief that when in doubt as to how best find a solution to a problem, nature seems to hold best solutions long put to test and found efficient. So far up till today, to help filter air pollutants and other hazards to our health, we have decided to use a rather simple and obvious approach, which is creating a “wall” of semi-porous material that allows for the passage of air while stopping “larger” unwanted particles. But, what if we could find a way to apply an already tested design, found already in nature in diverse scenarios, and that could help us tackle this huge COVID-19 problem we are facing by adding it to our creative man-made defenses for the benefit of each one of us? This question is where this idea was first conceived.
