Application Notes
Jewelry designer Etsuko Sonobe will be invited as a commentator and the jewelry submissions will be judged from her unique perspective. Craft submissions will be judged by the two members of KIGI. Outstanding submissions will be considered for selling at OFS.
■ Eligible Items
Items for daily use such as jewelry, pottery, stationary, and designed items.
Items that are currently being sold or items that are currently being developed to sell in the future.
* Art pieces are not eligible. Please submit art entries under the art category.
■ Application Requirements
Please provide the following information when submitting the application:
・Pictures of the entry piece
* Up to five pictures showing the whole piece, the sides, and details, as well pictures that give a sense of the size of the item.
・Explanation (approximately 300 characters)
・Material and techniques used
・Notation of the size
Jewelry - the length of the necklace, the size of the ring, etc.
handicraft- the overall size (length x width x depth, diameter, weight, etc.)
・website
* Please include any websites that note your work, activities or introduce your brand.
・Inventory and nominal retail price
* Please specify whether the item can be mass produced or if it is one of a kind.
* For items that have not been released, please note an indicative price
・Current sales situation
* Please let us know whether the item is unreleased or if it is currently being sold (in which case, please include the name of the retailers)
■ Selection process
Application deadline: May 20 (Sunday)
Primary screening:End of May
Individuals who have passed the first screening will be asked to send the actual piece for the second screening.
(applicants will be responsible for the delivery costs)
Second screening:Late May to late June
* Guest commentator Etsuko Sonobe will be welcomed for the second screening.
The winner will be announced in June.
■ Conditions:
Anyone can apply. Applications can also be made as a group or brand, in which case one acting member should apply on behalf of the group.
Recommended for:
・individuals looking for a store to sell their items continuously for a fixed period of time.
・individuals who are seeking opportunities to exhibit their items to customers.
・individuals who would like sell their items in a store and directly observe customer reactions.
・individuals who would like to get professional feedback on products they are currently working on.
■ About the prizes
Grand prize:Winners will have a chance to develop and sell their products at OFS for a limited time.
(The terms of handling and transaction will be decided upon consultation with the winners)
Runners up:Comments from the judges, KIGI, and the commentator, Etsuko Sonobe will besent after the review process.
* If no applicants satisfy the requirements in any category after the screening process, no winners will be selected.
* Please note that we cannot answer individual inquiries about screening criteria, comments and the final results.
