Maquinas de lo invisible #1 Sonidos al viento

Machines of the invisible are a series of devices for reading and amplifying different environmental magnitudes that have transformed our planet at a geological level since before the appearance of human beings. From experimental processes of translation and amplification of physical forces such as wind, erosion, changes in temperature and humidity, radiation, among others, this project unfolds as an exercise in terrestrial acupuncture taking the form of a series of site-specific sound, light and mechanical installations, performative experiences and the development of low-cost technologies and open source hardware.

The first acupuncture exercise in this series was Sonidos al viento, a meteorological-sound antenna built with local materials that served as a trigger for a series of exercises of territorial puncture in an attempt to make wind, temperature and humidity visible as elements of memory and healing of the territories. A phenomenon of cyclical and ecological resilience. The actions took place in Altamira, Brazil within the framework of the MUTUCA Art Residency.
