I exhibited artworks at the RenovArt | Flowing Identities exhibition, hosted by ApuliaAste, held at the Spazio Opera Gallery in Matera, Italy.

RenovArt is a curation project dedicated to showcasing the greatest artistic talent, both domestic and international. Thanks to the tireless efforts of art historian Carmela Loiacono, this project aims to advance the development of modern art and promote knowledge, as demonstrated through the regeneration and promotion of local and international artists.

As we stand at this critical juncture in history, it is our responsibility to build a foundation for a peaceful and happy future, where our children can grow up together in joy and prosperity.

I am deeply honored to have been invited from Japan to participate in this esteemed exhibition, and I express my heartfelt gratitude for this opportunity.

RenovArt | Flowing Identities

ApuliaAste is glad to announce the new exhibition Flowing Identities, itinerant event of RenovArt | 100 Artists for the Future, curated by Art Historian Carmela Loiacono, that will be hosted in Matera at Spazio Opera Gallery, from April 12 to 26, 2023.

Flowing Identities is a itinerant exhibition based on the fluidity of life, compared to the flow of a river, as like a primary source of existence, symbol of rebirth and purification. Water is a liquid element, adaptable, receptive, able to shape the territory, as well as the experiences of daily life characterize the personality of the human being. The exhibition allows anyone to approach the world of Contemporary Art with a broader and fluid vision, able to understand every facet of the artworks, as a result of thoughts, emotions, moods and experiences of artists presented in a place where there is a strong connection between water and land.

Artworks on display:

Kuan Yin Bodhisattva / 救世菩薩
Dec 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
https://dolice.design/kuan-yin-bodhisattva

This artwork was created as a prayer to the Buddhist Kannon Bodhisattva (Bosatsu) for peace to come to the hearts of humankind. Buddhism exists in a realm which transcends philosophy and science, and the gods and Buddha exist beyond time and space. Rather than describe this artwork as being imbued with a prayer, I say that I created it from a single, pure wish, a prayer that the Bodhisattva could manifest within this world.

Karma / 業
Sep 2021 / 100 x 100 cm
https://dolice.design/karma

The depth of human karma, the amount of things we learn every day, and the burden we carry on our own shoulders are unbearable, but we can only look at the darkness under our feet and move forward, one step at a time.

人の業の深さに、日々学ぶことの多さに、自ら背負った重荷に耐え難きものを感じながらも、ただ足元の暗がりだけを見据え、一歩ずつ前へと歩を進めるのみ。
