ENTRY

Exhibition Overview

Up to ten selected works will be exhibited at Common Nexus (ComoNe), located on the Higashiyama Campus of Nagoya University, for approximately six months, from October 2026 to March 2027.

Selected participants will be invited to exhibit their works as part of the group exhibition. Transportation costs for shipping works to and from the venue will be covered by the Common Nexus office.

Submission of Exhibition Information

Participants will be asked to submit information required for exhibition preparation, including:

  • Artwork title
  • Artwork description
  • Biography
  • Profile photograph
Artwork Shipping

Mid-September 2026

  • Shipping costs will be covered by the Common Nexus office.
  • A shipping company will collect the work at a designated date and time.
    Installation

    Late September 2026

    • Installation will generally be carried out by the Common Nexus office.
    • Travel and accommodation expenses for installation cannot be provided. If you wish to install the work yourself, please contact us in advance.

    Exhibition Specifications

    Exhibition Area

    Each selected work will be provided with at least one of the following:

      • Horizontal display area (approximately A1 size)
      • Wall display area (approximately A1 size)

    Larger installations may be accommodated upon consultation.

    Display Furniture

    The exhibition utilizes a modular system of polygonal display structures in four height variations:

      • 450 mm
      • 900 mm
      • 1100–1200 mm
      • 1800–2000 mm

    The exhibition layout will generally be designed and installed by the Common Nexus office.
    The tallest structures are finished with galvanized steel panels, and the overall exhibition design is based on a gray-to-black color palette.
    Some display elements incorporate mirrored surfaces that reflect surrounding works and visitors.

    Weight
    • Recommended maximum weight: 70 kg
    • Works exceeding this guideline, or requiring special installation methods, may be subject to additional review for safety and stability.
      Dimensions

      Works must be installable within the exhibition environment. If a work exceeds standard display dimensions, exhibition methods will be discussed individually.

      Power Supply

      Standard household electrical power is available.

      Important Notes
      • The exhibition area will not be continuously supervised, although staff members will regularly patrol the facility.
        • Works should be capable of being exhibited safely and stably without constant supervision.
        • Works requiring periodic activation or deactivation may be accommodated upon consultation.
      • Insurance coverage will be arranged for exhibited works.
      • Shipping costs and exhibition caption production will be covered by the Common Nexus office.
      • Selected projects will be introduced through the ComoNe website and social media channels.
      • Hazardous materials, strong odors, perishable materials, or works that may pose health or safety risks are not permitted.
      • Works involving sound, light, heat, flames, or other elements that may significantly affect neighboring works or facility operations may require adjustment.
      • Interactive works intended to be touched or operated by visitors must be durable enough to withstand repeated use throughout the exhibition period.
      • Display equipment such as monitors, computers, or speakers will be discussed according to exhibition requirements. Applicants may be asked to provide certain equipment.
      • Due to the open exhibition environment, works may be affected by sound, vibration, or lighting from neighboring installations.
      • While every reasonable effort will be made to ensure the safety of exhibited works, the organizers cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances.
      • Commercial sales activities, advertising, or promotional activities within the exhibition space are strictly prohibited.
      • The organizers cannot accept liability for damage resulting from exhibition conditions.
      • Final placement of works will be determined by the organizers based on curatorial, legal, operational, and safety considerations.
      Additional Opportunities
      • Selected participants may be invited to take part in public programs, including talks and related events during the exhibition period, where they will have an opportunity to present their work and activities to visitors.
