KIGI x OFS presents『Shirokane Gochome Award vol.3 - Art』category Progress Report!
OFS Gallery in OUR FAVOURITE SHOP regularly holds exhibitions, events, workshops, and other events that we would like you to see and experience. After an initial screening by KIGI, we invited Ms. Akiko Okano, Director of IZU PHOTO MUSEUM, to participate in the second screening.
In the midst of heated discussions, the jury members strongly requested to see more actual works! The jury members strongly requested to see more of the actual entries, and to our surprise, it was decided to hold a third round of judging at short notice! Four artists will be selected as finalists for this year's judging, and each artist will exhibit their actual work at OFS Gallery in a series of exhibitions in 2019. After the exhibition, the judging will be conducted again to determine the final Grand Prize winner.
The Finalists Exhibition was decided on short notice! Judging for the Art Division will continue after this meeting, but we hope that everyone will be able to view the finalists' exhibition and keep an eye on the future of the Art Division.
We will inform you again when the details of the exhibition are finalized. Please look forward to it!

Despite the fact that this was the first call for entries, it was impressive to see that the works were not limited to one medium, such as painting, sculpture, photography, and contemporary dance, but were full of individuality.
The works of these young people, who continue to genuinely pursue their own expression without being caught up in the trends and fashions of the times, gave us a sense of the power of OFS as a venue, and its potential as a place for a new generation to express themselves.
